Welcome

"CleanDino" (hereinafter "we") explains here what information our apps collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected.

This policy applies to all CleanDino apps, including Filmstampr, MyURLs, Raku JLPT Vocabulary, Sae TOPIK Vocabulary, Age Calculator, Korean Area Calculator, and Rush Hour Kitchen.

Our apps are built to keep your data on your device wherever possible. Several collect nothing beyond what is needed to show ads, and one collects nothing at all. Where an app can upload your data, it is almost always for a feature you turn on yourself; the one exception is noted in the App-Specific Data section, where the vocabulary apps upload words and corrections you write yourself so we can improve the dictionary. The App-Specific Data section spells this out app by app.

Information Collection and Use

This policy covers all CleanDino apps. Our apps differ in what they collect, so this policy is written in two parts: the sections below apply generally, and the App-Specific Data section states exactly what each individual app collects. Where the two differ, the app-specific section governs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers beyond the advertising services listed below.

Third Party Service Providers

Depending on the app, we may use the following third-party services. The App-Specific Data section lists which services each app uses.

• Google Play Services
• AdMob — advertising
• Google Analytics for Firebase — usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
• Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging — account, sync and backup features, where the app offers them

Advertising

Most of our apps are free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use an advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) to show relevant ads and measure their performance.

On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking identifier is used. If you decline, the app keeps working and you will still see ads — they will simply be less relevant. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.

Apps that display no ads at all are marked as such in the App-Specific Data section.

Log Data

In apps that use analytics or crash reporting, if the app encounters an error we may collect diagnostic information through those third-party services. This may include your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the app's configuration at the time, the date and time, and similar statistics. We use this only to find and fix bugs.

Apps that use neither analytics nor crash reporting collect no log data. See the App-Specific Data section.

Service Providers

We use the third-party services listed above for the following reasons:

• To serve advertising that keeps our free apps free
• To understand how our apps are used, so we can improve them
• To detect and diagnose crashes
• To provide account, sync and backup features in the apps that offer them

These providers may access the data described in this policy in order to perform those tasks on our behalf, and they are obligated not to use it for any other purpose.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are directed at a general audience and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete it from our records. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at the address below and we will remove it.

We do not build user profiles, and we do not ask any user for their name, address, phone number, or contact details.

Our free apps show ads through Google AdMob, which by default may use an advertising identifier to personalize ads. We do not know the age of our users and therefore do not apply age-specific ad settings. If you are concerned about personalized advertising, you can limit or reset the advertising identifier in your device settings, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or use one of our apps that shows no ads at all.

We recommend that parents take the time to communicate and educate their children about Internet safety.

App-Specific Data

This section states what each CleanDino app actually collects. Anything not listed for an app is not collected by that app.

Filmstampr: Timestamp Camera

• Camera — used to take photos inside the app. Your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
• Photo library (add only) — used to save your stamped photos to your device. The app can add photos to your library but cannot read your existing photos.
• Location (optional) — if you enable it, the app reads your location while you take a photo, turns it into a place name, and prints it on the stamp. To look up the place name, your device's own geocoding service may send the coordinates to Google (or Apple, on iOS); we never receive your location and never store it on our servers. The app works normally if you decline this permission.
• Network time — the app asks a public time server (time.google.com) for the current time to verify the timestamp. This request sends none of your data, though as with any network request your device's IP address is visible to that server.
• Notifications — optional reminders scheduled on your device. The app re-registers pending reminders after your device restarts.
• Storage (older Android only) — on Android 12 and below, permission to write saved photos to your gallery.
• Uses AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Offers a one-time purchase to remove ads.

MyURLs - Bookmark Manager

• The links you save — stored on your device by default.
• Optional cloud backup — if you choose to sign in (Google or Apple) and start a backup, your saved links are uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage so you can restore them on another device. This is opt-in and only runs when you trigger it. If you never sign in, nothing is uploaded.
• Account identifier — if you sign in, we store the account ID your sign-in provider gives us, in order to associate your backup with you.
• Uses AdMob and Firebase Analytics. Offers in-app purchases.

Raku JLPT Vocabulary · Sae TOPIK Vocabulary

• Your study progress — stored on your device.
• Words and meanings you write yourself — when you add a word to your personal word list, or correct the meaning of an existing word, that entry is uploaded to us under an anonymous account. We use it to find words missing from our dictionary and translations that need fixing. Only we can read these entries; they are never shown to other users. Deleting the word in the app, or reverting the meaning to the original, removes the uploaded copy as well.
• Optional friends and ranking features — if you opt in, the app creates an anonymous account and uploads a randomly generated nickname, an emoji avatar, your language settings, a friend code, and study statistics such as words studied and streak counts. We do not collect your real name or email address for these features.
• Push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device token is stored so reminders and friend notifications can be delivered.
• Purchase receipts — sent to our server to verify subscriptions.
• Uses AdMob and Firebase Analytics. Offers subscriptions, including an ad-free tier.

Age Calculator

• Birth dates you enter — stored on your device for the age and birthday features. They are not uploaded, except as described next.
• Anonymous account — when the app starts, it signs in to an anonymous Firebase account. This account holds no name, email, or contact details; it exists so our server can tell that a request comes from a genuine copy of the app. Creating it involves a network request at launch.
• Horoscope — when you request a horoscope, the app sends the relevant birth date, the zodiac sign, and your language setting to our own server, which generates the reading and sends it back.
• Tarot — when you draw a tarot reading, the app sends the drawn card numbers and your language setting to our own server to generate the reading. No birth date is sent for tarot.
• These readings are generated on our own server. We do not use this data to build a profile of you, and we do not share it with advertisers.
• Uses AdMob, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions and Firebase App Check. Does not use analytics or crash reporting.

Korean Area Calculator

• A unit converter. It stores your settings on your device and collects nothing else.
• Uses AdMob.

Rush Hour Kitchen: Roguelike

• Collects nothing. This app has no ads, no analytics, no in-app purchases, and no network access at all. Your game progress stays on your device.

Data Retention and Your Rights

Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.

For the apps that upload data (MyURLs backups, the optional Raku JLPT / Sae TOPIK friends and ranking features, and the words and meanings you write yourself in those two apps), you can request deletion of that data at any time by contacting us at the address below, and we will delete it. You may also turn the optional features off, or sign out, to stop any further upload.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Contact us and we will help.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
